On Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you can experience an exciting Family Day at the Großauheim Museum and Technology Park with the theme "Let Off Steam. " This event is aimed at children, families, technology enthusiasts, and steam engine fans.

Look forward to a diverse program:

• Hands-on activities for the whole family that invite exploration and experimentation.
• Small and large steam engines in action, bringing you closer to the fascination of old technology.
• Rides on a small steam locomotive, sure to delight both children and adults.
• Steam engine models presented in various sizes and designs.
• Play stations from the colorful children's tent association, providing entertainment and fun.
• Diesel tractors for children, allowing them to experience technology in a playful way.
• Food and drinks as well as coffee and cake to keep you energized during your visit.
• Exhibition "August Peukert," offering interesting insights into the history of technology.
• Guided tour on industrial history from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, providing a historical context.
• Guided tour of the newly designed permanent exhibition on August Peukert from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM for those who want to learn more about the exhibits.

Registration is not required, but donations for the preservation of old technology and historical equipment are very welcome. Program changes are reserved.
